Mental Health Resources for Managing Depression
Life and daily tasks, seems impossible when you face the challenges of depression, a condition that affects millions...
Monique Cohen is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with a degree from McNeese State University. A devoted wife and mother of two, she brings 18 years of personal and professional experience to our practice.
With a rich history spanning 22 years as a Registered Nurse, primarily within the Emergency Room, Monique has witnessed firsthand the dire need for mental health resources. She has seen too many instances where preventable admissions occurred simply due to a lack of appropriate services. This, coupled with personal encounters with untreated mental health issues among loved ones—often exacerbated by societal stigma—propelled her toward specializing in psychiatric mental health. Her goal is to dismantle barriers and foster a culture where seeking help is not only accepted but encouraged.
Monique is passionate about addressing your mental health needs. As someone who places a high value on self-care and mental wellness, both in her role as a mother and as a wife, she deeply understands its importance. Residing in Lafayette, she is acutely aware of the scarcity of mental health support and is determined to be a valuable resource for those aiming to prioritize their mental well-being in the community.
