KDH PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

Monique Cohen, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a McNeese State University degree, combines 18 years of professional insight and personal experience in our practice. With 22 years as an ER Registered Nurse, she has seen the critical need for mental health services and how a lack of them leads to preventable hospital admissions. Motivated by both professional observations and personal experiences with mental health stigma, Monique pursued a specialization in psychiatric mental health to break down barriers and promote a culture of acceptance around seeking help. Passionate about mental wellness, she's committed to being a key mental health resource in Lafayette, understanding the impact of self-care as a mother and wife and recognizing the local need for support.
